Jim Paul  

As a registered Architect in British Columbia and the UK, Jim Paul’s professional experience includes 30 years working as a specialist team member and consultant, collaborating with respected architecture and design offices in London and Vancouver.

Jim has a breadth of experience in project delivery from the earliest to closing phases of a project: feasibility reports, concept design, design development, consultant coordination, Rezoning, Development and Building Permit applications, construction documentation, tendering, construction administration and commissioning. Enhancing Jim’s professional experience is hands-on general construction contracting, client representation and a special interest in sustainable design. Projects vary in size and complexity including renovations and new construction, from small public sector heath care to master planning urban design concepts for private clients. Many of these projects have been nominated for or won industry awards. As a sole practitioner Jim has concentrated on small commercial renovations and single family residential projects.

 

In the community Jim volunteers extensively, presently, in the District of North Vancouver, as the chairman of the Community Heritage Advisory Committee, chairman of the Board of Variance and past chairman of the Advisory Design Panel. Other past activities include the development of the award winning AIBC Architects in School Program and leadership and support roles with various youth sport clubs.
